Strong demand for second Thai bath bonds from diverse investor base

Workshop on Municipal Global Warming Action Plans

The Bankgok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the French Development Agency (AFD) have co-organised on Wednesday 25th March 2009 a working seminar with the active participation of the City of Paris and The local Energy Agency of Grenoble, on the challenges of implementing Municipal Global Warming Action Plans. This event gave rise to very instructive and intense exchanges between French experts and Thai representatives from BMA.

Signing of a MoU with GHB about energy efficiency in housing sector

On September 4th, AFD signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government Housing Bank (GH Bank) in relation to the High Energy Efficiency Project in the Housing Sector. AFD intends to provide Thai Baht 1,960 million long term loan to GH Bank to promote high energy efficiency in residential buildings through special construction techniques and the use of energy efficient equipment.

 


Presentation of AFD in Thailand

AFD has been allowed to operate in Thailand by the French Interministerial Committee for International Cooperation and Development (CICID) held on December 11th 2002. Now present in Thailand since 2004, the Agence Française de Développement Group finances sustainable development projects.
